Welcome to my channel/blog, where I talk about business all the time, including the hospitality industry, restaurant sector, food safety, and sanitation, and of course, customer service. Today, I will talk about ServSafe. I have often been asked this question from different people, how can I pass my ServSafe exam? How can I do that? So, to answer that question or better yet, these two questions, what I will tell you is this… When you study for an exam, you need to dedicate a little bit of time. There is a book out there that you can buy, and you can read the book for ServSafe. It has about ten (10) chapters, so each chapter. You need to read through because all the questions will come from the book, and no doubt about it, but you don’t know what questions will be, and I don’t know what questions they’re going to be because those are questions picked up randomly. But to pass your exam, what you need to do is work with someone who may have done it many times, someone who may have taught that class many times, and someone who is an industry expert.
The person knows the restaurant industry’s ins and outs, the foodservice industry, which will help you. Another person you know what a would-be plus for you if you can get someone who has an academic background. Someone who has or takes a practical approach to teach, so I teach, and that’s exactly what I do! That could be me because I have everything, I said, such as industry expertise and academic background. Why me? Because I do the research and interpretation of any studies that may have been published out there related to food safety, including the food and drug administration in the united states, which is known as the FDA.
Furthermore, I keep up to date by working/interacting with many academic professionals and scientists and reading different studies. I can guide you through the review process because that is what I do regularly. I invest my time interpreting the data and current trends, so when I meet with you, you will have the strategies you need to pass but to pass the exam! You need to be dedicated or allocate at least three hours to yourself. One crucial thing about passing your exam is that you please make sure that you go through a review process before taking the exam because it will be difficult for you to open your computer and start taking your exam.
Go through a review process: I created a review process, and sometimes it might take 45 minutes or one hour, an hour and a half, depending on your experience. The exam time is two hours, but most people don’t take two hours, to be honest. Most people take from an hour to an hour a half. Someone took the ServSafe course with me recently, and the person passed like in 45 minutes. As mentioned before, it all depends on how much you study and prepare in advance. Please remember that taking an exam it’s just like when you were in college or high school. You need to study, and you need to work with the person teaching the class.
